Mcchord is named after the US air base with the same name in Pierce County, Washington, USA. The jacket is an updated version of the classic bomber jacket that had the term MA-1. It was originally developed for the US Air Force in the mid -50s. Made of high quality nylon and a zipper that was easy to open and close the front and became the perfect protective suit for pilots up in the cold air. Our McCHord jacket has preserved all timeless elements such as a durable nylon fabric, warm padding and the classic metal zippers. With this standard as a basis, McChord bomber jacket is taken to a new level with great details, modern melange -colored inside and functional insulation. The insulation is patented Sustans®, which through a new process mixes persistent fibers from Dupont and the name Sorona. Compared to the market's standard insulation materials, Sustans® uses 30% less energy and the quality consists of 37% of recycled material.
